Semi-Finals Fast Approaching

(PLTM) - As the end of the BDO Primary School League is fast approaching, teams have been battling furiously to secure one of the top spots in each age group, in addition to qualifying for the knock out stages. In the under 12 category, St. Georges Primary recently suffered a 1 nil defeat from Joyce Samuel. The lone goal came from Jesse Cockburn.

St. Georges was also held back with a nil draw game against Ciboney/Robinson O’Neal Primary, but managed to regain themselves by beating Jost Van Dyke Primary with 2 nil. That game was followed by two wins in favor of Cedar White, as they recorded a 2-1 win in both games against Alexandrina Maduro Primary and Pelican Gate. Goals from both games came from Johan Block and Dylan Cline.

Alexandrina Maduro Primary went on to defeat Claudia Creque 6-1, with all the goals compliments of Feli Walters.

Other games saw wins for Bregado Flax, with a 6 nil win over Claudia Creque and Cedar Green, and a 3 nil win over Ciboney/ Robinson O'Neal.

The line up for the under 12 semi-finals of this year’s league sees Cedar Green against Cedar White and Althea Scatliffe facing off with Bregado Flax on March 1.

In the under 9 division, Group A, Alexandrina Maduro defeated the Joyce Samuel Primary School with 2 nil. Goals came compliments of Omari Simmons and an own goal from Joyce Samuel.

Another game saw Althea Scatliffe Red taking 2 nil win in a game against Alexandrina Maduro Primary, with goals coming from Malik Fenton and Amos Pollard.

In Group B games, Robinson O’Neal finished their season with 10 wins and 30 points after a 4 nil victory against Cedar White, thanks to goals from Kyle Farrington and one each from Jaadon Quashie and Te’Mauri Isaac.

Montessori also made their way to the semifinals, with a 4 nil win over Pelican Gate. Goals came from Sam Potgeiter, Noe Pyranet and Tino.

The semifinal line up for the under 9 division sees Robinson O’Neal against Cedar Green, as well as First Impressions playing Althea Scatliffe Maroon on Tuesday, February 28th.

The Under 7 league is complete with Cedar Green cementing third place with a 1 nil win over Claudia Creque, thanks to a goal from Ethan Singh.

The semifinal line up for the Under 7 category sees Montessori play Begrado Flax and Cedar Green against First Impressions on February 27.
