Efforts to pave a bright future for the Territory’s youth continue at the Elmore Stoutt High School (ESHS), with the staging of their annual Career and College Expo, today, February 14th at the Sir Rupert Briercliffe Hall.
Students of all grades have the opportunity to see first-hand, the works of a vast number of professions and offices around the Territory, along with gaining valuable insight into various college options.
The expo is scheduled to run until Thursday, February 16, with each day having a different focus.
(PLTM) - According to the organizer of the event, Mr. Kenrico Wheatley, Guidance Officer at the High School, the first day will see different companies from the Financial Services sector; the second day will see participants from government offices, statutory bodies and private sector companies; while the final day will be focused on colleges only.
Mr. Wheatley shared that the expo will assist the students in giving them a more practical approach of what happens in the world of work.
“I want them to see a practical display of opportunities and options they can explore after graduation.”
