Kadeem Frett of Little Dix Hill, who is currently facing multiple charges in relation to guns and drugs in an unrelated case, made another appearance before the court on a charge of common assault.

In September 2015, Frett was charged with carrying an unlicensed firearm, two counts of unlawful possession of ammunition, unlawful possession of a controlled drug and unlawful possession of a controlled drug with intent to supply. He pleaded not guilty to all the charges.

In an appearance yesterday, February 13 at the Magistrate's Court, Frett pleaded not guilty to the offense of common assault in relation to a separate incident.

According to the particulars disclosed by the Crown, on July 22, 2016 at Fat Hogs Bay, the accused observed a female standing at the corner of Ice Bar & Grill, an establishment in the area.

The court heard that upon making his way past the female, he allegedly threw his beer on her and dared her to take it to the police.

She reportedly made a complaint to officers the same night.

Upon his arrest, the court heard that the accused told officers that the female was making up stories, adding that the she and his girlfriend were involved in a fight sometime earlier.

He was offered bail in the sum of $10,000 and was also advised to stay away from the complainant in the matter.

He will make another appearance on May 15.
