(PLTM) - Parents of toddlers who missed the opportunity to gain important information from a parenting workshop hosted by the teachers of the Enid Scatliffe Pre-Primary School last November, 2016, now have the opportunity to reap vital information from the event online at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sZAAYXkUZt0&feature=youtu.be.
The workshop, held under the theme, ‘Care for me; Teach me; I will learn’, spoke to the importance of interacting with one’s child at home, while providing many examples and tutorials to interactive games and activities both the parents and the child will enjoy.
One of the speakers at the event, Mrs. Cecily Malone, Coordinator of Early Childhood Education in the Territory, highlighted the importance and the advantages of replacing electronic devices with physically active games and activities, while noting that physical interaction aids positive development in a child’s life.
The event also saw presentations and interactive sessions facilitated by Mrs. Valerie Charles-Welsh, Principal of the school, Ms. Tania March-Harris, Education Officer for Language, Ms. Charisse Bynoe, Educational Officer for Special Education and Ms. Diane Drayton, Police Information Officer.
