(PLTM) - Tafari Frett, Andre Frett and Wendy Glasgow, all of Parham Town, East End, pleaded not guilty to the charges of possession of explosives, involving 19 rounds of 30.06 caliber ammunition.

The defendants made their pleas in an appearance earlier today, December 8, at the Magistrate’s Court.

Tafari pleaded guilty for an additional charge brought against him, for the possession of 21 grams of cannabis.

Representative of the Crown, Melissa Brewley revealed that on July 21 2016, officers visited the home of the defendants where they conducted a search on the premises.

While in the bedroom of Tafari, who is the son of Andre, police found a total of 27 dimes bags in his chest of draws.

A storage area in the room was searched as well, where officers found a white plastic bag containing a box secured by duct tape, concealing the ammunition.

When questioned, Tafari initially confessed to officers that the findings were his.

Under police questioning, he was instructed by his lawyer, Mrs. Valerie Stephens-Gordan, to decline from making any statements.

The other two defendants told officers that they had no knowledge of the items found during their search.

The trio will return to court on March 3rd, 2017.
