Wolues against One Love

(PLTM) - Teams continue to fall short in their efforts of dethroning the Islanders football team, who remain on top throughout this year's BVI Football Association Men’s League.

The most recent attempt came from the Rebels Football Club over the weekend, October 29, who unfortunately lost 1 nil to Islanders. The winning goal came in the 20th minute by Islanders’ Fitzroy Delaney.

The winning game kept Islanders standing at the top of the ranking, now with 18 points ahead of the Rebels, who fell to fourth place behind Sugar Boys and Wolues.

Wolues earned third place with their 2-1 win over One Love, who remains winless.

In another game for the weekend, Old Madrid Football Club destroyed Virgin Gorda United with a 5-1 scoring. Despite the long time to open the scoring, Old Madrid’s Kenmore Peters, Sheldon Harry and Kenrick Leslie were responsible for adding points to the board. Jackson Rigobert secured the lone goal for Virgin Gorda United.
