(PLTM) - A woman is claiming that the father of her 4 year-old son attempted to rape her at her Brewers Bay apartment.

Okella Mckennon, 51, a Jamaican native appeared in court today, September 21, charged with assault causing actual bodily harm, indecent assault, criminal trespassing and threatening language.

Mckennon, who did not appear with a lawyer at today's hearing, will answer to the charges during his next court appearance in December.

Senior Crown Counsel Garcia Kelly in laying out the allegations, stated that on September 18th, around 12:00 am, the accused visited the house where the woman and his son reside.

According to the allegations, the woman said that she heard a knock on the door and she opened the window and saw Mckennon standing outside.

The accused asked her to open the door and she refused, and told him that she will not let him in, threatening to call the police.

The court heard that as she proceeded to close the window, he knocked out the screen, forced his hand through the window, unlocked the door and then entered her home.

He began hurling accusations towards her on matters which were not mentioned in court. A struggle then ensued and Mckennon allegedly tore off her underwear and began touching her private parts.

The woman, who was begging him to stop, grabbed him at his throat and the struggle between the two continued.

Mckennon grabbed the woman by her hand and pulled her to the bedroom and pinned her to the bed. At this point, their 4 yea-old son entered the room and Mckennon allegedly chased him away.

Subsequent to pinning the woman to the bed, it was noted that he briefly performed oral sex during the struggle. This was followed by the woman kicking him to the floor.

He continued to pursued the woman by forcibly attempting to open her legs. However, it was at this point the court heard she made up an excuse and told him she needed to use the bathroom, as she was not feeling well.

She proceeded to the bathroom and he closely followed.

While in the bathroom, it was heard that Mckennon told the woman, “You have to convince me until morning come, but I am not leaving until I get what I want. I’m going to rape you today.”

During this time, the child was standing outside the bathroom door crying uncontrollably.

Again, she begged the accused to stop and inform him that his actions were traumatizing his child.

Mckennon informed the woman that he would be back at 1:00 pm and then left her premises.

Police were summoned to the scene later that morning. The woman was transported to the Peebles Hospital, where she was treated for bruises to her right knee, wrist and forehead.

Later that day, the accused was met by officers and told about the allegations. In response, Mckennon reportedly told the officers, “I go down there because I was to take some juice for the baby. She let me in, I did not rape her. I hugged her up and told her you are my baby mother and I still love her," he told officers.

"I told her to let me **** *** ***** and she did not hesitate. She bit me on my hand and chest, and when I realised she was serious, I let go.”

In a cautioned interview with officers, the accused denied any attempts of raping his child’s mother.

Mckennon was granted $60,000 signed with one surety. He was also ordered to surrender all travel documents, report to the Road Town Police Station three days per week, and refrain from having any contact with the woman.

He will return to court on December 9th 2016.
