(PLTM) - Princess Latoya Starodd Todman, 29, of Pockwood Pond, was brought before the Magistrate's Court last Friday, September 9th, to respond to six charges filed against her following a tussle between her and officers at the Road Town Police Station.

She was charged with three counts of criminal damage to government's property, where a glass pane, a door and two laptops where damaged in the process. She was also charged with two counts of assault on police officers and disorderly conduct in a police station.

According to the details disclosed by Crown Counsel Herbert Potter, following an altercation involving her boyfriend on January 20th 2016, the accused was arrested and taken to the Road Town Police Station.

After being detained within the confines of the station’s charging room, the accused became boisterous and began complaining that she was claustrophobic and attempted to leave.

The court heard that at this point, Todman began using indecent language, all while resisting police attempts to keep her from leaving.

In further attempts, Todman allegedly bit a police officer.

She was then taken to the inspector's office, where she shattered a glass door.

The court heard that the officers who were involved in the squabble with the accused were hurt and had to seek medical attention at the Peebles Hospital.

Todman will make another appearance on November 25th 2016.
