(PLTM) - The Magistrate's Court burst into laughter when drug accused, Michael Penn made an appearance last Friday, September 2nd. Before the charge was actually read to the accused, Penn was heard saying a number of times, “I'm always guilty for cannabis."
Allegedly, in April 2015, the accused was found with 26 grams of cannabis in Parham Town.
He pleaded guilty to the charge of possession of a controlled drug before Magistrate Ayanna Baptiste-Dabreo.
Penn is scheduled to make another appearance on September 19th for mitigation and sentencing for this matter.
In a separate matter, Penn is currently on bail for charges relating to kidnapping and abduction, which occurred early last year. He will make an appearance on September 21st at the High Court in relation to those two charges.
