(PLTM) - Captain Gene LeBron and his crew on-board the Jichi vessels came out victorious with a catch of 8 blue marlins in this year’s Scrub Island Blue Marlin Invitational Tournament.
The three day competition which ran from August 15th through to the 17th, was hosted by the Scrub Island Resort, Spa & Marina.
According to the hosts, the event which was geared towards developing the Territory’s fishing industry, saw participation from a total of 14 boats from Florida, Puerto Rico, the United States Virgin Islands and the British Virgin Islands.
They added that each team took advantage of the North Drop, which is located approximately five miles north of Anegada.
Team Jichi shared the winning circle with 'Hit N Run' and 'Predator', who tied for second place and there was also a three-way tie for third place with 'Never Say Never', 'Marlin Darlin' and 'Grander'.
