(PLTM) - The completion of this year’s 2016 BVI Basketball Federation Championships saw Kings coming out victorious, as they defeated the 4-peat champs Legs with a 80-73 score count in their favor.
The championships began on August 10th through to August 13th 2016 at the Multi Purpose Sports Complex.
According to Dean Greenaway, Killven Samuel led the Kings with 18 points and four assists. Leslie Smith followed with 16 points and pulled another 15 off the rack. Ray Victor added another 15 points along with his brother Rowan Victor, who added 12 points.
Kings' coach, Kameron Young said, “I wouldn’t say it was easy, not at all.”
He added, “To go up against a team like Legs, that has won four straight and are the defending champs, it was very tough, but, to give them three straight and sweep them, it was unbelievable. It’s more than we could have imagined.”
